Back in 2020 after the release of their Debut album, "hey how r u?", I Reached out to Social Smoker to ask them if they were interested in an animated loop of their cover art to use on Spotify. Social Smoker would then put me in contact with american artist Hannah Batarang, who drew the original cover art. After getting the layers from Hannah, I would then prep and split the layers even further in Photoshop before importing the layers into After Effects. With Spotify putting an 8 second limit on the length of Canvas Loop, my main challenge was to make the composition feel alive while looping seamlessly.

After the release of their sophomore album, Social Smoker reached out to me, asking if I would like to create a Spotify Canvas for this release, similarly to their first release.I again received the layers from Hannah, prepped them in Photoshop for After Effects, and went to work.

When i first met Gry who is the lead singer of Hudsult, I immediately knew that I wanted to work with her in some way or form, and this lead to me later asking if she wanted a Spotify Canvas for her band, when I asked this it coincided with the first single of their debut EP, and I was then sent the cover art by the amazing local artist Ellen Sichlau, whose done a phenomenal job of making Post-Apocalyptic Aarhus come to life.
Like previous Canvas projects, layers were split in Photoshop and then animated in After Effects
